RRIM System
Advanced Reinforced Reaction Injection Molding Solutions
The RRIM (Reinforced Reaction Injection Moulding) System is awarded efficiency, flexibility, and precision. This process incorporates servo/hydraulic pistons to metered control polyol and isocyanate, controlled by speed via servo-hydraulics. Injection of short fibres (e.g., glass fibre, carbon fibre) or fillers (e.g., calcium carbonate, barium sulphate) into a closed mould is used to pour a material system, creating high-quality results for various applications.
How It Works
In the RRIM process, a filler is blended with a component (usually a polyol) at a premixing station. The material is then dosed using a plunger-type dosing machine. The polyol and isocyanate, now containing the filler, collide and mix at high speed in the mixing head before being injected into a closed mould. The system, which is specially designed for various applications (e.g., low pouring volumes), can be operated in continuous feeding mode. The mixing head and dosing pumps are made of materials that resist wear and corrosion, ensuring longevity and reliable performance.
